The programme’s
forms of activity are
· to support workplace development projects
· to support method development projects
· to support learning networks
· to disseminate information on workplace development
· to reinforce expertise on workplace
development
TYKES disseminates the information
generated by the projects it supports. The programme’s foremost target groups
are workplaces, R&D units, consultants, labour market organizations and
authorities, particularly the regional Employment and Economic Development
Centres, the Occupational Safety and Health Inspectorates, and the employment
offices. Key methods for disseminating information include publications,
seminars, and websites. Major networked development projects involving several
parties and learning network projects can act as important means for
disseminating information in their own right.
One of the goals
of the programme is to reinforce the innovation environment of workplaces,
especially where expertise on the development of work organizations is
concerned, in accordance with the TYKES vision. The programme strives to
promote cooperation between workplaces and R&D units. The programme
supports doctoral dissertations and licentiate theses written in connection
with project activity. Promotion of ‘the third task’ (i.e. the utilization of new knowledge and expertise) of
universities and polytechnics is a focus of special attention.
